Only deposit what you are willing to lose, and if you lose the money, only re-deposit what you are willing too. it can become a repetitive cycle when you're young and have some extra money, soon that money is all gone and you're betting on Credit.

NEVER bet on credit unless you have money at the time to pay off how much you deposited.

NEVER deposit twice in a day. That shows you lost money and now feel like you need to win it back.

WIN. Its a better feeling than losing.

Bet with your head, not over it.
Don't chase losses.
Do some homework on who you are going to wager on and who their/his opponent is.
Good luck, we have some good handicappers here, Bushay for pucks for instance, seek posters out like that.

Scottrade is good, and pay attention to what ever kuwlness posts. He has a very good track record with the stocks he suggests. Just do a search for his posts here in the Investment forum, lots of good info.

one thing you can do is check out a couple websites -- it's been a couple years and i don't remembere their names, but you should be able to find them easily enough using google -- that give you $50,000 of cash (not real of course) and you can trade in and out that way, kind of get your feet wet without risking anything.

i would recommend doing that first, if only for a few days.
